We Are Getting Back To Our Roots

Welcome

We ARE getting back to our roots

2025 is the year our 20 year dreams are coming to fruition. We are announcing that Red Barn and Lipstick will finally become a flower farm and market. This is exciting, and a commitment to our dreams.

Our journey started 26 years ago when we peered through the window of an old farmhouse in the country. We walked through the huge red barn and fell in love with the huge beams, the vast storage, and chicken pen! We saw the forgotten strawberry fields the mature trees, the old barns, the explorable wet lands. At that moment we just knew this was our home forever. We talked endlessly about how we would have gardens, events in the barn, and great gatherings. One year after we moved into this ole house, we massively remodeled the second story, revived 30 year old grape vines, and started rejuvenating the somewhat forgotten gardens, fields and landscaping. All the while I found myself falling more in love with perennial plants and growing fresh vegetables. Tom has always grown gardens and was great at planning each step we would take at bringing this place back to life.

Our 6 acre farm has evolved over the years. We have grown flowers and vegetables for farm markets. Our 3 children worked the fields and tended the chickens to sell eggs and vegetables as a summer job. We have always wanted to share the joy we experienced from our property with others. Growing, caring for, and harvesting from our great creation is such a beautiful experience.

This year we are find it the right time to be able to live out our small flower and market dream. As we move forward we are starting small. Our flower bouquets will make their beautiful appearance as the weather allows. Tom is more than thrilled to showcase his woodworking items. Our cool weather vegetables will be ready to harvest in the next 7-10 days. The amount of herbs in the garden are already smelling wonderful. On select days you will even find baked goods including sourdough bread and other treats.

This year we will be posting weekly to let you know what will be available. Our stand will be open and stocked on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

We are looking so forward to meeting you on our little farm.
